Welcome to New Orleans Parents Guide

Who are we?

New Orleans Parents Guide (NOPG) is a community organization dedicated to supporting the leadership of parents of public school students. We believe every child should have an excellent public school and that parents are essential to creating excellent public schools.

NOPG is a not-for-profit organization that supports New Orleans families in accessing quality public schools by providing quality and transparent information about school in New Orleans through the New Orleans Parents' Guide to Public Schools and the NOLA Parents Guide smart phone app. We also work with community partners to provide workshops and information sharing sessions to help parents navigate school options and learn from each other about how to advocate for quality public schools.

We've sharpened our focus and changed our name. New Orleans Parent Organizing Network is now New Orleans Parents Guide.

Our belief in the power and importance of parents to make great public schools remains the same. Now we will focus our work to support that belief on what we consistently have done best - provide quality, transperant, accessible information about schools to families and communities.
